How to request a correction
If you believe something we have published on Small Business Bonfire is wrong, email corrections@brownbrothers.io with the article link, the passage you are questioning and, where you can, the source for the correct version. We aim to respond within 48 hours.
What we correct, and how
We correct all factual errors. Material errors and substantial revisions carry a dated note at the foot of the article explaining what changed. Minor factual imprecision, spelling, formatting, broken links, replacement of a source link where the underlying claim is unchanged, and clarifications that do not substantially change what readers were told may be corrected without a note. Where an article’s central premise cannot stand, we withdraw it and, where appropriate, leave a notice at the original address.
What we do not change
We correct errors of fact, not differences of opinion. Articles are not altered because a reader disagrees with a view they express, and opinion pieces stand as written unless they contain factual errors.
Standards
These practices follow our editorial policy and the Brown Brothers Media editorial framework, revised 17 September 2026, which governs where the two differ.
