BYOD (bring your own devices) is a growing phenomenon in small businesses where employees take their personal mobile devices to work for connecting to the company’s network, with guidelines set out by management. The statistics prove that it is a concept on the rise with 71% of small businesses already having BYOD policies in place. Sixty percent of those permit the use of wearable devices as part of the plan. The results of using BYOD also speak for themselves, with BYOD users saving an average of 37 minutes a week through using their own devices. Sometimes these savings could even stretch to 2-4 hours in a week, proving that the concept can work wonders for productivity.
